The point about pricing needing to reflect real value, not just inherited metrics really stands out. As costs become more variable, the discipline around measuring usage, outcomes, and unit economics becomes much more important than it used to be.

Strongly resonate.. I am of course biased as we coverage on many aspects independently - https://ankurashokg.substack.com/p/measure-what-matters-in-the-era-of

Measure what matters for both the seller and buyer is more important than just hiding under the seat based pricing umbrella.

As I often day, the future is hybrid for pretty much most things and AI pricing is nearly at the top of it.

In the Agentic AI world I call it, we need to get back to basics of the human performance and compensation mindset:

- OKRs.

- Know and measure what matters.

- What truly counts as - Value.

- Fixed + variable. To cover the bases and incebtivize for performance and skin in the game..
